Security Alarm Service Technician & Systems Installer Sedalia - Full-Time - Great Benefits
IMMEDIATE OPENINGS: Nightwatch Security in Sedalia, MO is looking to expand our team of installers/technicians.
- Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM + paid rotating on-call for after-hours / weekends
- Pay: $18/hr minimum starting pay + overtime opportunities and paid benefits*
We desire someone who is interested in the security field, wants to learn new things every day and who will contribute to and grow with Nightwatch.
We take our customers' security concerns very seriously. Job is demanding at times but very rewarding. Taking care of our customers is top priority and installer/techs take a big role in this as they are often the main person the customer sees and interacts with.
Nightwatch is locally owned and operated in Sedalia, MO. We provide and test security and fire alarms, security camera systems, access control (card readers), business telephone systems, and more.
On-the-job and online training courses available, however, it is up to the employee to self-train, seeking knowledge and self-improvement. Must be good at problem solving using resources available to you.
Teamwork and communication are essential. Must be able to work with other technicians and/or directly with the office staff daily.
Dependability and reliability are key. Employee is expected to work during the scheduled time with exceptions only for time asked off for in advance, sickness or emergencies.
Thorough attention to detail and keeping all required information updated is also important.

Job Requirements:
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use a ladder or lift (not afraid of heights) (not afraid of heights)
- Reliable transportation to work
- Background check / drug test
- Class E driver's license (can be acquired shortly after hire)
- Basic Toolset: a non-exhaustive list includes a tool bag, drill, voltmeter, screw driver set, wire cutters & strippers
Applicable Skills
(Not Required, but Encouraged) Include:
- Experience installing low-voltage electronic systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, ability to drill holes, mount devices, run wires neatly and efficiently
- Having worked around construction, understanding how things are built
- Basic electronics knowledge, series/parallel circuits
- Reading floor and electrical job plans
- Reading simple electrical schematic or riser diagrams
- Computer networking including addressing and subnetting
- Computer and smart phone skills including email, filling out Google Sheets, filling out Google Docs, etc.
- Filling out paperwork and reports completely and accurately
